In 2017, legendary “Casablanca” completes 75 years of the premiere and remains among the best movies ever played on the big screen.

Created in December 1942 to the Moroccan city of Casablanca, which gave and the title to the film, it has remained in the history of romantic drama and has been included by the American Cinema Institute among the best 100 films of all time.

The plot is based on the play of Murray Burnett, Joan Alison, titled “Everybody Comes to Rick’s,” and focuses on the dilemma of an American living in Casablanca who has to choose between the woman he loves and the help he can give to a Czechoslovak resistance, husband of his beloved, who wants to escape from Casablanca to continue the fight against the Third Reich.

The film, directed by Michael Curtiz and the screenplay of Julius J. Epstein, Howard E. Koch, Philip G. Epstein and Casey Robinson, received eight nominations and won three Oscars, including Best Film, Director and Screenwriter.
