He uses confrontation and provocation to comment on modern hypocrisies and iniquities. French artist Philippe Shangti creates works based largely on photography, in which he creates striking tableaus of women, in shots that can also be characterized as a critique of superficial consumer culture. Also in his provocative works, he campaigns against addictions and violent practices in our world, such as human trafficking, drugs, and environmental pollution. What is certain is that the challenging scenery of Shangti, they express today, is ephemeral, provocative, excessive, and intense but under their dazzling surface lurks the theme that inspired the artist. He has exhibited in cities around the world and has appeared at the Mus é e des Beaux-Arts in Carcassonne, France, and the Erarta Museum in St. Petersburg.
