Candela, a Swedish manufacturer of high-quality electric boats, has unveiled the latest version of the Candela C-8 hydrofoil, a stunning vessel that proves that luxury electric performance does not only belong on land but also on the high seas. The vessel uses a 69 kilowatt-hour battery so as to provide a 57-mile nautical range at a cruising speed of 22 knots (25 mph) with a maximum speed of 30 knots (35 mph). During cruising, the hydrofoils lift the keel of the vessel, reducing energy consumption by up to 80% according to official measurements. Candela collaborated with Polestar for this special version of the C-8, which draws inspiration from the style and design of Polestar vehicles. Both companies believe that sustainable electric mobility, design and innovation should never be limited by imagination.
