The Rome Edition is located in the heart of Rome, a stone’s throw from the Villa Medici, Piazza Barberini and the Colosseum. Guests enter through an impressively green courtyard, and are soon met with a seven-meter high lobby and a jewel box-style marble bar.
This impressive hotel had a former life as a bank, from which it has kept its original light fixtures, statues, marble staircases and the almost intact lobby – which is now adorned with floor-to-ceiling green curtains that accentuate the height & its geometric architecture.
Color plays a vital role in The Rome Edition’s public spaces, with a bold royal blue and green dominating the restaurant space, Anima, and a deep red found in the hotel bar, The Punch Room.
Its rooms have a midcentury feel, due to white walls and wood paneling. Many of the rooms and suites have panoramic views of the nearby church of San Nicola da Tolentino, as well as the red tiled roofs of the Eternal City’s streetview.
