In the Hindu religion, Deva means “heavenly beauty”. And this name is perfectly suited to Deva Cassel, whose beauty fills the catwalks and soon our screens, after taking her first steps in acting.

The daughter of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel is now 20 years old and forging her own path. Growing up in the limelight, with a model/actress mother and an actor father, it was probably inevitable that she would be inspired accordingly.

Deva was born in 2004 and grew up in Paris, but visited Rome and Rio de Janeiro very often. Bellucci welcomed her into the world on September 12, 2004, a few weeks before her 40th birthday. And Deva had already done her first “photoshoot” when she was in her mom’s belly. As he grew up, there were many visits to photography studios. And that’s how the germ got in. One day, at a photoshoot of her mother, the photographer wanted to take some shots of her.

In the outside world, she did her first major photoshoot at the age of 14, for the Dolce & Gabbana fragrance campaign. “I felt very familiar being in front of the camera and had a lot of fun. I knew then that I wanted to continue on this path” she said in a related interview. At 17, she graced the cover of Italian Vogue along with her mother and then she won the catwalks, while today Deva Cassel is also the new ambassador of Dior.

She improvised stylistically from a very young age so that she could express herself and externalize her ideas through her clothing. The number one fashion icon for her is (of course) her mother and from that one can assume that Bellucci’s wardrobe raids should be many more than the average girl does. And as she stated in her interview with Numéro, “The world of fashion has inspired me since I was a little girl, because I always felt that it is important to externalize one’s ideas. Through fashion, you can creat a human narrative.”

On the other hand, there is now also acting. While she initially didn’t want to get into the field, over time she became intrigued. Thus, in 2023, he appeared in the Italian film “La bella estate” (directed by Laura Luchetti) while he will star in the upcoming Netflix series “The Leopard”. However, it is not in her plans to give up fashion for the sake of acting. She wants to do everything. Like her mother. Speaking of which, why should he choose?

Her star has risen and Deva already knows the social media game. At the time of writing, her Instagram account has 1.2 million followers, while she follows no one (yes, not even her famous parents). And since eyes all over the planet are on her and the paparazzi are waiting, she decided to share what she wants about her personal life herself, before the tabloids catch up. So she revealed with a series of photos full of summer carelessness, her love, who is none other than the 24-year-old Italian actor Saul Nanni. Because yes, underneath all the lights and posed poses, Deva remains a 20-year-old girl who wants to fall in love, just like any girl her age. We will see them both in the series “The Leopard” which is expected to premiere on Netflix next year.
