One of the most interesting — and affordable — vintage Porsches at RM Sotheby’s Monterey Car Week event will be this 1984 953 Dakar. The caveat being that it’s sized for aspiring drivers, not adults. Built by UK-based Halfscale Cars, this miniature replica celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 1984 Dakar Rally winner. Underneath the iconic Rothmans livery is a 400cc engine making 15 horsepower, with independent wishbone suspension, coilover dampers, five inches of ground clearance, and Brembo hydraulic brakes. Inside is a removable Moto-Lita leather steering wheel and seats with houndstooth inserts. The Dakar Junior is estimated to sell for $20,000-$30,000.
