Since in our time there are few who read the texts-sheets on Social Media, let me return with a second, small, text, which I hope will complement the image of the first. For those who did not read it, I was referring to the “Europeanization” of the Greek magazine Typos that the deceased achieved in the areas of Quality and Aesthetics. Today, I will recall a bold decision of his, against the political data of the country, namely the exculpation of the Greek royal family. I remember the time when we were preparing the first issue of “Life & Style”, when in an exchange of views I suggested to him that we make Crown Prince Paul and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal the cover. His reaction surprised me, if we take into account the taboo subject. “Can we have them every month, not just those specific ones, but all the members of the family?” He was, I think, forward-looking, and understood the evolution of society, which needed to be redefined in relation to the shackles of the past. However, he also had a self-mockery. “That’s where the “November 17” rocket will come from,” he commented, pointing from the window of his office on Kifissias Avenue, to the building opposite, after he had been curious about our first royal cover. The sequel vindicated him. Whenever Marie-Chantal gave birth to a new child and it was baptized, “Life & Style” set a circulation record, so completely elliptically I want to pay tribute to the deceased leading publisher, in the part that is mine. It would be remiss of me not to point out that he and his wife Elena were a power couple who spoke the same language and perceived the world in the same way. The famous zeitgeist.
