Mille Miglia Storica, Tour Auto, Targa Florio, Le Mans Classic and Gstaad Classic are just some of the legendary races that the Jaguar XK 120 SE Roadster has starred in, and is now available to buy from auction house RM Sotheby’s. This particular Jaguar XK 120 left the British company’s factory in a stunning cream exterior and red leather interior on November 12, 1953. It was then sent to the US and US importer Max Hoffman, who added a 3.4 litre engine and a four-speed manual transmission. To this day it has passed through the garages of various collectors around the world.

Today it is presented by the auction house RM Sotheby’s with a silver exterior paint scheme, having received a full restoration in recent years by its recent owner, which cost over 70 thousand dollars. The interior was completely changed, but retained the factory red paint. The seats were configured to match the interior, with their “racing” look standing out while providing the required safety.

Under the bonnet, as mentioned above, we find a 3.4-litre engine that offers a power of 160 hp and a top speed of 190 km/h – the fastest of the 1950s. The price will range between 180-200 thousand dollars and may exceed it as there is already a lot of interest.
