From a young age, he liked to build, and invent and was interested in detailing and equipping the spaces he imagined. His references are both on the European side of the Atlantic and in South America. The reason for Hugo Toro, architect, and interior designer, originally from the east of France, with dual citizenship, Mexican and French. At 33, he already has some great achievements to his credit: the restaurants Gigi Ramatuelle or Gigi Paris, but also the Booking Office at St Pancras Station in London, to name just a few recent examples. The Art Deco period holds an important place in what he loves, as he is sensitive to detail with the Austrian architect Otto Wagner or to color and texture with Luis Barragan.

Hugo Toro is also interested in design and created his first published furniture collection in collaboration with Kholkoze and M Editions, a collection presented in 2022 at Christie’s.

Now he heads his own studio that employs almost twenty people and works in restaurants in Paris, London or Dubai, in hotels in Rome and Cannes, in apartments in the Paris area, and in private mansions. He holds a double master’s degree, in Los Angeles and in Vienna. He graduated from the Penninghen school in Paris.
