Caruso Nuovo Bistrot reopens its doors in Milan’s lively Piazzetta Croce Rossa, opposite the famous Via Montenapoleone. We are introduced to new culinary dishes by the international chef Gennaro Esposito, but also a new interior design for the restaurant, undertaken by Dimore Studio, celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year.
The Bertazzoni family, the custodians of Caruso Nuovo, have endeavored to create a sophisticated yet pleasant atmosphere where classic aesthetics are seamlessly combined with contemporary elements. In collaboration with Dimore Studio, the bistro now stands as a relic of the fusion of past and present, echoing the culinary philosophy curated by Executive Chef Francesco Potenza, originally from the Campania region.
Based on mutual respect and shared cultural background, the collaboration between Caruso Nuovo and Gennaro Esposito reflects the philosophy that we should never forget our origins. This feeling extends beyond the kitchen and into the very essence of the bistro, where patrons can immerse themselves in an environment that celebrates Milan’s cultural roots.
Dimore Studio’s contribution to the restoration is a harmonious return to the solid roots of Milanese aesthetics. The studio, in collaboration with the Grand Hotel et de Milan, meticulously revived the original details of the space – columns, inlays and sand floors – while infusing a touch of charm that perfectly aligns with the historical significance of the structure.
