Self-care and our psychology are an integral part of respecting ourselves. This can include many things, such as our diet, exercise, sleep routine, activities, goal setting. However, our daily lives are so demanding that time is an obstacle to many of them, which is why we are increasingly looking for services that will be tailored exclusively for us, such as a playlist on Spotify or Netflix, a personal training program, a suit tailored to our measurements. Of course, this exclusivity comes with a high cost.

Custom services add to the uniqueness of each person. Anything that is personalized for us and our lifestyle promotes the production of endorphins and we automatically feel happier, more loved and more important. It is an emotional and psychological experience guided by a deeper desire for expression. We feel that some of our expectations are being met. This is because bespoke service is synonymous with luxury as it serves a single individual and not the whole.
Have you ever wondered what makes us want to pay the high cost of certain goods or experiences? It is human nature, subconsciously, to place greater value on goods that many desire but do not have, simply because they cannot have them. Goods that stand the test of time and become part of history. A valuable legacy for future generations.
Furthermore, what adds value to exclusivity is the reduced availability of a product. The difficulty in achieving its acquisition reflects a personal achievement and a sense of belonging to a higher circle. It has to do with the storytelling expressed through each good about who we are, what we have achieved and what our ambitions are. As can happen with a luxury car, a membership to a private club or even a good liqueur. It is an investment in distinction, in excellence.
But could this exclusivity affect our way of thinking? When we feel that we have limited access to anything, we focus more on the external condition than on our inside, on who we are and what we desire. That is why when someone feels excluded from a condition, they feel anxious, because they focus on the external environment that they cannot control.
