This stunning Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa goes up for sale at RM Sotheby’s Detroit in a few weeks, and is described as “the most beautiful Ferrari ever built” – hard to argue.
The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa from RM Sotheby’s is a 250 “Pontoon Fendered” Testa Rossa that is as unique as it gets. Completed in early 1958, it is one of only 19 examples owned by world-renowned Italian coachbuilder Sergio Scaglietti, and the sense of luxury it exudes is unrivaled.
Absolutely stunning, the “Pontoon Fendered” Testa Rossa is widely regarded as one of the most stunning body designs ever created and, in addition to looking stunning, the Testa Rossa also performed brilliantly and was the most successful sports racing car in Ferrari’s illustrious history , securing four World Championships and four overall wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1958 to 1962.
It was completely restored by Ferrari Classiche in 2013, so it is presented in a truly immaculate condition.
