Igloo Hotel

Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel is the northernmost Igloo hotel in the world. Every year its experienced artists & craftsmen come together to build a new and unique hotel with a special theme. The Igloo Hotel has an area of 2,500 sq.m. and 250 tons of ice and 7,000 m3 of snow are needed for its construction. the ice is collected from the Sierravann, which is just a few kilometers away in the Alta valley from Sorrisniva, and the snow is produced using  water from the famous Alta River which is just a few meters away from the hotel.

The Igloo Hotel is the starting point for a wide range of sought-after experiences in the wilds of Arctic Norway. Northern lights hunting, snowmobiling on the wide open Finnmark plateau, skiing and sledding.
