Jacquemus Opens Capri Store

One week out from its 15th-anniversary runway in Capri, Jacquemus has landed on the Italian island to begin claiming its high-fashion stake.

On Monday, the Simon Porte Jacquemus-led label pulled back the curtain on an all-new retail outpost nestled under a stone wall alongside the Bay of Naples. Cutting the ribbon, the campy label shared a video on social media featuring members of its design team carrying massive iterations of its atelier’s tools — from big yellow buttons and giant paper clips to snaking measuring tapes and extra-large rolls of thread — in front of the store.

The brand’s 15th-anniversary show is scheduled to take place on June 10 at the infamous Italian villa Casa Malaparte, which was first featured in Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 film Contempt.
