Less than three weeks after Poor Things took four Oscars, including best actress for Emma Stone, the trailer for their new film has been released.

According to its official synopsis, Kinds of Kindness, which was shot in New Orleans in late 2022, is a “triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”

Other cast members include Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Margarte Qualley, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer. Lanthimos wrote with Efthimis Filippou, with whom he previously worked on The Lobster, Killing of a Sacred Deer and Dogtooth.

The film is set for release on 21 June in the US and 28 June in the UK.
