When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a rock ‘n’ roll superstar becomes someone else in private moments, someone we haven’t seen: a wounded boy, an imposing husband, a lonely man who oppresses his – many years younger – partner.

Through the eyes of Priscilla, director Sofia Copolla tells the unseen side of a great American legend and the tumultuous marriage of Elvis and Priscilla, from a military base in Germany to the dream estate at Graceland, in this dreamy and deeply charming portrait .
