“I’m Sussex now”

In December 2022, 28 million viewers rushed to watch the documentary “Harry and Meghan” on Netflix, on its first day of release. It was only 2.6 million on March 4 of this year, when “With Love Meghan” was released. The failure of the project is due to the fact that the Duchess of Sussex is not convincing in the role of the traditional housewife who takes care of her husband and children. Although it is a trend in the U.S., the protagonist of the TV series “Suits” is far from the trad wife (traditional wife). It is a narcissistic show of a woman who collects eggs from the chicken coop, makes her own honey and candles, inflates balloons, prepares flower bouquets and cooks in high heels. An“Ego trip”: her eight-episode effort as characterized by the Hollywood bible “Variety”, while IMDB’s review gave it just 2.9/10. Although there are not a few who supported her desire for independence after Megxit, everything indicates her unwavering intention to exploit her royal marriage for commercial purposes. The $100,000,000 deal with the Netflix platform includes a series of projects, where the son of the late Princess Diana has a central role. The only thing missing was “With Love Meghan”. Not quite. When a guest at a neighbor’s rented kitchen in Montecito, actress Mindy Kaling, “dared” to address her by name before she got married, Meghan made the following remark: “It’s so funny that you keep calling me Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now.”
