Sotheby’s has revealed a rare Heuer Carrera Sunray DX watch, which is set to be auctioned during its ModaMiami debut – an event that will showcase around 50 other watch lots alongside a significant range of rare cars and luxury goods.

Notably, this rare watch is named after Sunray DX, which was one of the largest oil companies in the 60s and a major sponsor of motor racing during that time.

As for the watch, it was created in 1967, specifically to celebrate Sunray DX’s L-88 Corvette racing team. What makes this lot even more important is its provenance, with the seller, Gary Goss, being an original member of the Sunray DX team.

Bidding for the watch is scheduled to begin on February 29 and run through March 12. Sale estimates are set as high as $25,000 USD.
