Every last weekend of January, St. Moritz is turning into the world capital of snow polo: Ever since 1985, when snow polo made its world premiere here, teams from all over the world have been competing for the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz on its frozen lake. It is the world’s one and only high-goal tournament on snow. The three days of the tournament represent high-level polo played against the backdrop of the magnificent snow-capped mountains of the Engadin valley and special events take place both around the lake and in the town’s luxury hotels.
