Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz’s astonishing account of her encounters with fashion over five decades is presented in the luxurious “Wonderland” edition by Phaidon in an elegant case. “Looking back at my work, I see that fashion has always been there,” Leibovitz observes in the book’s foreword. “Fashion plays a role in the design of everything, but photography always comes first for me. It’s the most important part. It’s so broad that it can include journalism, portraiture, reportage, family photography, and fashion… My work for Vogue fueled the fire for a genre of photography I wouldn’t have explored otherwise.” The volume, with a foreword by Anna Wintour, features 350 exceptional images (many of which have not been published before) of a wide and varied range of subjects: Nicole Kidman, Serena Williams, Pina Bausch, RuPaul, Cate Blanchett, Lady Gaga, Matthew Barney, Kate Moss, Natalia Vodianova, Rihanna, Chima Adichie, Karl Lagerfeld, Nancy Pelosi.
