Saint Laurent is no longer a brand that only designs clothes–it’s a tastemaker, cinematic producer, and most recently, a culinary experience. Following the success of their 2022 collaboration, creative director Anthony Vaccarello and Sushi Park’s founding chef Peter Park have teamed up to open a new immersive shopping and culinary experience in Paris.
This collaboration will be Sushi Park’s first-ever permanent restaurant outside of its Los Angeles flagship. The culinary installation opened on February 21 as part of the newly renovated Saint Laurent RIVE DROITE boutique located in the home of luxury shopping, Paris’s first arrondissement, just steps off the Tuileries and Place Vendôme. As part of ongoing renovations of the brand’s historical spaces, last February, Saint Laurent also opened a bookstore and gallery space in the seventh arrondissement, BABYLONE, hand-curated by Vaccarello himself.
Both the Sushi Park collaboration and BABYLONE are part of the houses’s larger efforts to diversify the shopping experience. The brand is not the first to dip its toes into the culinary and literary worlds. Other similar endeavors include Jacquemus’s collaborations with famed Paris-based Restaurant Caviar Kaspia, Gucci’s Michelin star-holding Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Florence, Bottega Veneta’s curated Fanzines, and Miu Miu’s ongoing film anthology Women’s Tales.
