The grandeur of Venice
[ssba]

Built in 1475 for the Doge Andrea Gritti, the beautiful palazzo occupies a privileged position, with its private pier, in the heart of Venice’s Grand Canal. The Gritti Palace, which for 150 years has represented the epitome of classic luxury and Venetian hospitality. In 2011 it was completely renovated, which enhanced the historic features of the building while bringing the facilities into the 21st century. The splendour of its interiors is underlined by the Rubelli fabrics on the walls, the unique furniture with its unique glow illuminated by dazzling Murano chandeliers. The monarchs, aristocrats or film stars who have been hosted in its suites have added to the legend and history that accompanies the Gritti Palace.

From the stylish restaurant with its floating terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, guests can admire the façade of the iconic Santa Maria della Salute. Chef Daniele Turco tries innovative recipes using local ingredients and traditions at the Club del Doge restaurant. Later stop by for a Basil-ica cocktail (gin, lemon juice, elderflower liqueur, orange bitters and fresh basil) at Bar Riva, arguably the city’s most glamorous place for aperitivi and evening drinks. There is no better way to explore the beautiful lagoon islands and sunsets of Venice than a private Riva Yacht Experience with an excursion on the Aquariva speedboat “Il Doge”.
