The NKN-Softshell was designed by Nokken and the world-renowned Bjarke Ingels Group. It is a two-story tent tailored for luxury camping attractions, eco-resorts and boutique hospitality accommodations. The 195 square meter softshell structure provides a solution for eco-conscious hospitality.
A durable wooden frame and base plate form the basis for the canvas fabric that wraps over the multi-tiered structure in an elegant A-frame shape, reminiscent of traditional cabins in the woods. Starting at $22,500 USD, buyers can also upgrade with an additional cargo net, ladder and headboard.
Even at its five-figure price, this piece may be one of the most affordable pieces of Bjarke Ingels’ design. The Danish architecture firm is known for designing on a much larger scale, characterized by projects like the upcoming “Freedom Plaza” in New York and its new waterfront headquarters in Copenhagen.
The NKN-Softshell, due in summer 2025, is available for pre-order now on Nokken’s official website.
