We are in Paris in 1964 where painter Alberto Giacometti lives and works.

He lives his everyday life quietly until he meets unexpectedly his young friend and American critic, James Lord, for who he insists to create a portrait.

From this moment on, the relationship of the two men goes to another level with revelations of years happening by keeping the viewer alert to understand exactly what these men are seeking from each other.
